Franklin Batting Glove Review – No BS Breakdown

Franklin Sports

Quick Verdict

Franklin batting gloves are one of the best all-around options on the market. They’re easily one of the most popular gloves among pro and college players.

They have a smooth, natural feel. The leather is thin and soft, so you feel the bat more instead of it feeling bulky in your hands.

Material

The palm is made from a soft sheepskin leather that stays tacky without being overly sticky, which helps with control without making your hands feel locked in. They also come almost immediately game ready.

Price

$30-$40 – worth it

Best For

  • Players who like a thinner glove
  • Players wanting immediate ready to use gloves

Not For

  • Players wanting a glove that lasts forever
  • Players worried about blisters

Downside

Because these gloves are thinner, blisters can be more common early on if your hands aren’t used to them. They also do not last very long. We aren’t high on their durability, especially for everyday players.

I got a few blisters when I first switched to Franklin, but once I adjusted, they became my go-to.

Also, don’t overdo pine tar with these. Heavy pine tar use can break down the natural grip and ruin the feel.

Final Verdict

A top batting glove on the market.

These gloves are a Buy but… don’t expect them to last forever.

Reliable, proven, and hard to go wrong with.
